Bite-size Talks

We’ve added an extra course to this year’s festival menu – a tasty tapas style medley of Bite-size Talks, hosted by a panel of local food and drink experts.

Hear about their success stories and pick up some of their trade secret top tips – great takeaway skills to wow family and friends at a later date!

Held at a range of venues across the festival footprint, the short, informal talks also offer the chance to ‘ask the expert’ questions and, at some sessions, sample small tasters*.

Some talks are subject to advance booking and a booking fee. To view what’s on and book online, view the schedule below.

*Terms and conditions apply.

**Monies raised from each ticket sale will be donated to local charity, Woking and Sam Beare Hospices.

'Wines loved by the British'

Anne McHale will talks through the recent history of British wine-drinking. It used to be that we couldn't get enough of French wine, culminating of course in those heady days of Beaujolais Nouveau. Then the Australians stole our hearts with their 'sunshine-in-a-glass'. Now we're in the fortunate position of being able to drink wine from nearly anywhere in the world. Could it be, though, that we're finally beginning to appreciate our very own home-grown wine?
