Masterclasses

New to the festival this year, Tante Marie Culinary Academy will be hosting three days of culinary masterclasses in its 'Live Kitchen' at the new, state-of-the-art Academy in Commercial Way, Woking.

On all three days of the festival,Tante Marie will host three masterclasses on Friday 4 September and five masterclass per day on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September, catering for up to eight people per session.

Due to popular demand, the festival has just released a new batch of masterclasses on Friday 4 September. For adults only, there will be three masterclasses available to book. All sessions will last for approximately 40 minutes and must be booked advance.

Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September schedule

Out of the five daily session, three masterclasses will be for adults and two masterclasses will be for adventurous little chefs; all sessions will last for approximately 40 minutes and must be booked in advance of the festival.

Parents and/or guardians of children participating in the adventurous little chef masterclasses will be required to remain on-site at Tante Marie during the session. And, due to the height of the kitchen equipment, children must be a minimum of 4 foot and 6 inches in height.

So, why not relax and have a coffee in the comfort of The Restaurant at Tante Marie whilst watching your little treasure in action from the behind the glass screen.

How to book

Each masterclass costs £10 per person, plus a small booking fee. The money raised will be donated to Tante Marie’s chosen charity, LinkAble, a Woking-based charity for children with learning disabilities.

Terms and conditions:

  • Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis using the festival’s online booking system (available via this website only) and once payment has been authorised and received.
  • Subject to availability, bookings may be taken on each day of the festival; advance booking is advised and no reserve list will be recorded in the lead up to the event.
  • Failure to show up in good time for your booked masterclass will result in your place(s) being transferred to an on-the-day reserve list and your payment will not be refunded. Pre-paid payments will be donated to LinkAble.
  • Children taking part in the masterclasses are required to be at least four foot and six inches (4ft 6") in height in order to safely reach the kitchen equipment.
  • Children must also be escorted and supervised by parents or guardians whilst participating in the masterclasses.
  • Multiple bookings will be allowed, but may be refused due to demand. All bookings are accepted at the discretion of Woking Food and Drink Festival and its decision is final.
  • Parents and guardians must sign disclaimers before the start of all masterclasses.
