Can you bake the perfect cake?

On Sunday 7 September, Great British Bake Off 2013 winner Frances Quinn will be looking for Woking’s best cake! If you think you have what it takes to rise to the challenge, bake and bring your best homemade sponge cake to ChristChurch (in Jubilee Square) on Sunday 7 September between 1pm and 3pm to enter it into the Festival's free competition.

Frances said: “I’m extremely excited to be judging the Bake Off at Woking Food and Drink Festival. Baking is something that I’ve always been passionate about and I know many other people feel the same – so I can’t wait to see the entries. I’ll be looking for sponge cakes with a great consistency, fluffy, light and not too dense, and with fantastic overall presentation – basically a cake that just makes you want to take a huge bite!”

The winner will receive a special prize, plus a signed copy of the Great British Bake Off 2013 series book and get to meet the lady herself, Frances.

If you’d like to enter, please register your interest using the form below. Or, for more information, please call 0161 686 5520.
