Children's Cookery Workshops

Keep the kids entertained during Woking Food and Drink Festival. This year’s free and exciting children’s cookery workshops, hosted in The Lightbox Education Studio located on the first floor of the venue, offer children the chance to really get excited about food and cooking!

Children of all ages have the opportunity to experiment, play and learn. They can discover where the food comes from and how to combine basic ingredients to create delicious items, which they can take home to share with all the family. The workshops allows children to feel like a real chef and offers a wonderful first insight into the fun and healthy world of home cooking.

Included in this year’s children’s cookery timetable are Kid’s Food Laboratory workshops, where they can experiment with food and combine simple ingredients with spectacular results! Experiments include creating edible slime, mixing fizzy cocktails and creating milk kaleidoscopes.

All workshops will be run by Clover Hutson, an experienced chef and children's cookery workshop leader, and her team of friendly helpers. Aprons are provided and children are required to wash their hands before and after the workshops.
