Dessert demonstrations

Visitors with a sweet tooth and an eye for something fancy will not want to miss Tante Marie’s Dessert Bar hosted in its LIVE Kitchen, at The Restaurant in Commercial Way.

The Academy's teachers and students will demonstrate how to make its most sought after desserts, including:

  • Peach Melba brown sugar meringues
  • Baby tarte a la russe with blueberries
  • Chocolate fleur de sel macarons
  • Delice au cassis: a sumptuous blackcurrant mousse gâteau
  • Spiced apple cake

Each day, visitors are welcome to drop in to Tante Marie LIVE to watch the rolling demonstrations and ask its experienced teachers questions. The chosen dessert selection provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about a range of technical skills, including using gelatine and pectin, making pastry and meringues, and demonstrating beautiful finishing techniques.

The five desserts will be sold as a selection box to take away or as a selection plate in The Restaurant.
