Fairtrade and Family Quarter

Just a stone's throw from Jubilee Square, WWF-UK’s Living Planet Centre will open its doors on Friday 2 September, from 10am to 4pm, for some free, family, foodie fun!

With a host of activities for the whole family to enjoy, it’s the perfect place to entertain the kids and learn more about where food comes from and who eats what! The free activities will include:

  • Make a beautiful flower, with a seed bomb centre, out of old CDs. The free activity aptly named the ‘Recycled Seedy Sunflower’ workshop.
  • Learn about cultivating seeds to leaves and vegetables with The Seed Pantry.
  • Work up an appetite on the Smoothie Bike and make your very own fruit smoothie!
  • Explore the ‘WWF Experience’ and take part in the interactive ‘Who Eats What?’ Treasure Hunt.
  • Visit the stalls hosted by Fairtrade, Woking Borough Council, Liberation Nuts and WWF, and pick up the giveaways on offer.
  • Plus guest appearances from WWF's Polly Panda!

All workshops are free to attend with a suggested donation of £3. The workshops are suitable for visitors aged 4 years and over, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
