About Alex

Al has been cooking for the best part of 15 years, having chosen a career in food at an early age.

He gained a position working for the Roux Brothers at Le Gavroche, after working at some of their other Rosette establishments. An inspired and talented cook, Al went on to become the Academy Head Chef of Tante Marie, where he and Claire met.

His relaxed approach in the kitchen, ensures that he gets the best out of people. But don’t let that fool you, Al works very hard to ensure that the he always prepares and presents the best possible food – average is never acceptable.

Al can best be described as focused and passionate, and he is never happier than when he is perfecting his culinary skills, playing a trick on Claire, or eating chocolate!
