Lorna Nanda Gangotra is one third of The Gangotra Sisters, winners of the BBC2's ‘The Big Family Cooking Showdown 2017’ and owner/founder of The Little Indian Kitchen, which she set up in 2009 following the decision to give up her corporate career and take the plunge into the world of food.
Originally located in Wimbledon, the kitchen hosted regular cookery classes during the week and it served as a local bistro on the weekends. After a couple of successful years, Lorna closed the kitchen to start a family and move to Surrey. She spent the next year raising her children before a chance encounter with a friend led her to discover Ripley Farmer's Market. It was there that she resurrected The Little Indian Kitchen by taking part in the monthly markets.
More than a decade on, the Little Indian Kitchen continues to expand its offers including cookery classes, workshops, pop up and supper club experiences, as well as showcasing its authentic and Middle Eastern flavours at Ripley and Kew Village Farmers’ Markets.
Lorna is a regular guest on BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey, as well as an accomplished live demo chef who has featured at many food festivals across the country including BBC Good Food Show Live.
Lorna's inaugural supper club, at the prestigious Darjeeling Express in central London, was a sell-out event. New to this year's Woking Food and Drink Festival, Lorna will be hosting the FEAST pop up supper club on the festival's opening night.
