About Ben

Ben Piette, owner and Head Chef of London House, was classically trained in Frejus, France.

Travelling to London on a one-way ticket to London in 1997, speaking no English, he worked his way up from as a commis chef in Cafe Rouge and then moved onto various Michelin Star restaurants, before eventually moving to Surrey.

Prior to London House, he was at McLaren as Hospitality Chef, cooking for the likes of Ron Dennis, Lewis Hamilton, amongst other drivers and sponsors of the team. He also travelled with the race to the Singapore and Monaco Grand Prix.

In 2010 Ben entered MasterChef: The Professionals and was one of the final six, making it to the semi-finals, before eventually being knocked out. His success on the show, is what gave him the stepping-stone to what we know is London House restaurant.

Recognised by the Michelin Guide since 2012, London House's approach to food is simple, full of flavours and modern in presentation. London House is all about provenance, seasonality and creativity.
