Aneke Spacie

Aneke will be demonstating in the Tante Marie Culinary Academy Theatre at 2pm on Sunday 6 September. On the menu will be: 'Mumbai sweet shop' spiced pumpkin velouté with a pea and potato samosa, finished with a chilli infused oil.

Aneke Spacie has been a professional chef for over 20 years. Her broad experience includes restaurant work as a head chef, menu development, nutrition and diet development, event catering and cooking for high profile celebrities.

Following a career break to have a family, Aneke has returned to cookery with even more passion and energy inspired by her new lifestyle. She is well known for her exciting, cutting-edge creations and for ‘pushing the boundaries’ of culinary science and art.

Aneke regularly lectures on food and the diet’s effect on the body. She has a popular pop-up restaurant, ‘Food by Aneke’, in Woking which is ranked as the 8th best place to dine in Surrey, and it has also been awarded a Trip Advisor Award of Excellence (May 2015). This autumn, the restaurant will put down permanent roots in new premises which will continue to deliver fresh, local and seasonally produce from her allotment.

During her career, Aneke has been lucky enough to work with some of the finest chefs in the world and in some of the best restaurants, including: Rainer Becker at Zuma, Mark Hix, Alan Bird at the Ivy, and Alain Ducasse in New York. She also designed and created exposes for Harrods food halls and created ‘fashion food’ for Giorgio Armani. She regularly consults to high profile clients on achieving new menus and creating well-balanced, nutritional food.

Aneke has also authored two successful books and makes occasional appearances on TV cookery shows.
