Richard Fox

Richard Fox is an award-winning writer, cook book author and TV chef presenter and former chef presenter on BBC1 Regional Look North and regular chef on BBC2's Food Poker. He has also appeared on UKTV Food, Saturday Cooks on ITV, The Good Food Show on BBC Radio 4, to name but a few.

Richard’s expertise in the world of food and drink, as well as his talents as an exuberant and entertaining demonstration chef and public speaker, has made him a favourite personality for hosting and demonstrating at gourmet events around the world. He is also a consummate presenter and compere with interview credits including Jamie Oliver, Heston Blumenthal and Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall.

As well as being a beer expert, renowned for cooking with beer as well as creating gourmet beer and food matches, Richard’s other great passion is on the subject of reducing our food waste. He is regularly tours the country performing cooking demonstrations on the theme of ‘Love Food, Hate Waste’. His unique recipes, food waste reducing techniques and the inspiring way he conveys all this knowledge have made him one of the busiest demonstration chefs and speakers on not only the food festival but boutique music festivals too.

His book entitled ‘How to be an everyday kitchen magician’ – fabulous feasts for almost free’ – is published by Green Books, April 2012.

Richard and co-presenter and chef, Clover Hutson, will be demonstrating a range of BBQ classics and unusual dishes over three days, as well as stoking up the competition between visitors taking part in the BBQ cook-alongs!
