Fernando Stovell

Fernando will be demonstating in the Tante Marie Culinary Academy Theatre at 12pm on Saturday 5 September. On the menu will be: Cured, smoked and confit salmon with Stovell's gin.

Opened in 2012, Stovell’s restaurant takes it name from husband and wife team Fernando and Kristy Stovell. The restaurant creates contemporary European cuisine using sustainably sourced, local produce prepared by a team of talented chefs and served in the unique 16th Century Tudor farmhouse.

Stovell’s devote a huge amount of time to sourcing the perfect produce and ingredients that make up its contemporary European menu. It delivers clean, fresh tasting food that is exciting to experience, allowing each element of the dish to sing without fuss.

The Chobham based restaurant has gone from strength to strength since it opened its doors and it has won a long list of accolades, including Square Meal Top 50 out-of-London restaurants 2013 and 2014, OpenTable Diners' Choice 2014 Top 50 Fit for Foodie Restaurants in the UK, Waitrose Good Food Guide 2015 Readers’ Restaurant of the Year Award, Surrey Life Chef of the Year 2013 and more.

Fernando and Kristy met at Westminster College in 1997 and have worked alongside one another ever since. Between them they have experience working in various highly regarded establishments: The Capital (two Michelin star), Jamie Oliver, The Wellington Club and The Cuckoo Club Private Members Restaurants. Fernando regularly appears as a guest chef on BBC One's Saturday Kitchen Live, as well as on Market Kitchen.
